Get Some Giddy Up in Your Gallop

Among the earliest sites to promote SSD adoptions was AnandTech. So, today he/they are reporting on the effect of moving to SSD as primary data store. From what I recall, in previous discussions on the site, they've not done much to normalize the databases, so this is just a measure of raw horsepower. Impressive, nonetheless.
The final benchmark however does give us some indication of what a more random enterprise workload can enjoy with a move to SSDs from a hard drive array. Here the performance of our new array is nearly 20x the old HDD array.
