Just For The Record - 30 April 2024

Just saw clips of the Orange Jesus audio/transcript with Time. Of course, he channeled the Ghost of Eisenhower, and, of course, fucked it up. But then, that what he do.

The issue at issue: Operation Wetback. The Orange Jesus presents this as a Strong President getting rid of dirty Mesicans. What he lies about, or just as likely is clueless about, is that Mexico motivated the effort. The Mexican government and (their version of) Big Business was tired of losing all those braceros to El Norte. Eisenhower was happy to oblige.
